You can bring a bra for donation to be entered into a drawing for one of our grand prizes.

While this event is happening, Danny Len Buick GMC will also be donating money to the hospital for every test drive we have. That money will go toward helping the hospital increase awareness and promote better breast health throughout our community.

Plan Your Summer Now

Simple Beach Day - Danny Len - Mount Dora, FL

Summer road trips are a great way to bring the family together or to explore the region. There are a number of Orlando road trips to consider, as this hub is one of the busiest cities in the state. Whether you love amusement parks or getting outdoors, a road trip is the perfect way to experience the city.

According to Crazy Family Adventure, Magic Kingdom is the place to visit on a road trip. You can see most of the park in one day. Simply get one-day tickets, pack a cooler, and try to go on a day when the park is open later. It’s important to plan ahead so this Orlando day trip doesn’t turn into a weekend trip.

Universal Studios is another great stop to make. It can be touristy — much like Magic Kingdom — but it’s something every Floridian should do at least once. There’s a lot to do for older kids and teens, and you can also plan an entirely separate day at Volcano Bay if you visit Universal.

Finally, check out Lake Eola Park. This public space is in Downtown Orlando, and it features a farmer’s market, Chinese architecture, and more. The lake is a great place to relax, and there is a range of events and activities planned throughout the year. Lake Eola is the perfect spot to get away from the commotion of Orlando, as there are fewer tourists there than at places such as Magic Kingdom or Universal.

Before you leave for your Orlando road trip, make sure your car is ready to hit the road by bringing it into Danny Len Buick GMC for a maintenance checkup. While you’re here, we’d be more than happy to give you some more suggestions of sights to see in Orlando.

What’s New About the 2019 Sierra Design?

GMC Sierra

The GMC Sierra is back for 2019, and this next-generation truck comes with some exciting new upgrades. There is incredible precision to detail in the new Sierra, as this model features a range of industry-first innovations that are incorporated into a bold and durable design. With the ideal balance of style and performance, the full-size Sierra will impress virtually any driver.

According to GMC, one of the most distinct aspects of the new 2019 Sierra design is the revamped exterior. For starters, the grille is larger on the 2019 model year than on any other generation. There is new advanced lighting technology and signature lights on the Denali, while the 22-inch polished alloy wheels make a statement.

The driver-oriented cabin has available features such as leather-appointed seats with a high-contrast stitch pattern, along with dark aluminum trim and open-pore wood. To supplement this luxurious cabin that has best-in-class legroom, the available segment-first Head-Up Display (HUD) and Surround Vision system keep you up to date as you drive.

Other cool features include a new Trailering App that’s integrated with and accessible through the available infotainment system. Buick Smart Driver App Offers Powerful New Way to Get the Most out of Your Buick

BuickWe’ve all heard about or used smartphone apps that monitor our habits—from eating to exercising to spending—and help us be more productive, healthier, and happier. Buick has created such an app for your driving habits. The Buick Smart Driver app offers a powerful way of monitoring your driving behaviors, allowing you to become a safer, smarter driver.

Once the app is set up, drivers can easily monitor statuses such as average fuel economy, high-speed driving percentage, and total miles driven. Drivers can track these stats on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Additionally, the app provides tips for becoming a smarter driver based on your personal driving habits.

The Buick Smart Driver tool launched as an online service in May 2016 and has been used by more than 211,000 Buick drivers so far. The launch of the app will bring this popular service to even more Buick drivers. The Buick Smart Driver app is available on most Buick models of the 2015 model year and newer; plus, it’s available at no additional cost.

J.D. Power and Associates recently named Buick highest among mass market brands for Total Ownership Experience. It’s safe to say that the brand’s success is, in part, due to new technologies like the Buick Smart Driver app that offer drivers an enhanced experience behind the wheel.

To see how the Buick Smart Driver App works, visit Danny Len Buick GMC and we’ll show you the system in one of our new Buick models.

What Is the Difference Between All-Wheel Drive and Four-Wheel Drive?

In today’s automotive world, buyers have a lot of drivetrain choices. Front-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive are somewhat self-explanatory, but the difference between all-wheel drive and four-wheel drive can be somewhat confusing. We’re glad to explain the difference for you.

All-Wheel Drive

This is the newer and more prevalent of the two drivetrain systems. In a general sense, all-wheel drive (AWD) is always on. All four wheels are getting power all the time, but not necessarily equal amounts. Depending on the type of car it is, the system might send more power to the front or rear wheels. And, with modern torque vectoring, the system can respond to road conditions and traction needs to send more power to the wheels that need it.

Four-Wheel Drive

Thee days, four-wheel drive (4WD) is reserved for vehicles that spend some time operating off the pavement, like a pickup truck or real sport utility vehicle. 4WD can usually be turned off when not needed to increase fuel efficiency, but it will not automatically turn back on. The driver has to manually change the drivetrain setting to get the traction he or she needs.

4WD is much more capable off-road than an AWD vehicle would be. Most 4WD vehicles come with some type of low-range gearing and locking differentials to help negotiate rough terrain.

2018 GMC Terrain Aerodynamics Are Revolutionary

2018 GMC TerrainGMC continues to innovate when it comes to fuel economy for its large trucks and SUVs. Aside from ever-improving powertrains and shedding weight, GMC also focuses on the aerodynamics of its vehicle.

Let’s look at 2018 GMC Terrain aerodynamics, for example. GMC Terrain engineers clocked in more than 300 hours in the GM wind tunnel to study the Terrain and refine each surface to make it as aerodynamic as possible from front to back.

What did the engineers achieve? For starters, the Terrain boasts a lifted stance, which means air flows beneath it and pressurizes chassis components; this boosts aerodynamic drag, which can decrease fuel economy. To fight against this, engineers were able to develop a way during testing to guide that air to the rear of the vehicle.

“Reducing the aerodynamic drag of an SUV is always a challenge,” explained GMC Aerodynamic Engineer Alicia Bidwell. “Our engineering team paid attention to even the smallest details to deliver the size and cargo space our customers want.”

The work that Bidwell and her team did on the GMC Terrain ultimately led to a three-mile-per-gallon increase for the SUV. Thanks to that team, the GMC Terrain boasts 26 miles per gallon on the all-wheel drive platform.*
